Ingredients:
- 6 Granny Smith Apples
- 6 wooden sticks
- 1 package individually wrapped caramels
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. minature marshmallows
- 1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Wash each apple and remove stem. Unwrap caramels and set aside.
Insert wooden sticks 3/4 of the way into the stem of each apple. Place apples on a cookie sheet covered with lightly greased aluminum foil.
In large, heavy saucepan combine caramel and water over low heat. Cook, stirring often, until caramel melts and is smooth. Stir in vanilla.
Dip each apple into the caramel and gently run apples around inside of the saucepan to scrape off excess caramel.
On a dinner plate combine marshmallows and graham crackers. Roll apples in mixture to coat. Place each apple on aluminum foil and chill for 1-2 hours.
Put chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and cook in microwave for 30 second intervals until melted and smooth. Drizzle over apples and return to refrigerator until ready to serve.
Serve whole or remove from wooden stick and cut into slices.
