Chocolate Mice recipe
These adorable chocolate mice are the perfect chocolatey surprise for kids and adults alike! Even better, this cookie recipe requires minimal cooking and kids of all ages can easily help. Use imagination when decorating and presenting these charming little mice, and watch how popular they will be at your next party!
Ingredients:
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate
- 1/3 c. sour cream
- 1 c. chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/3 c. chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/3 c. confectioner's sugar
- 24 silver dragees decorating candy
- ¼ c. sliced almonds
- 12 pieces long red vine licorice
Directions:
In a small saucepan melt chocolate.
In small mixing bowl combine chocolate and sour cream. Add 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs and mix thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
Remove chocolate mixture from refrigerator. Roll into small balls approximately 1” in size. Mold into an egg shape to create a mouse “nose”.
Roll dough in confectioners sugar or chocolate cookie crumbs (to make white or dark mice). Place dragees for eyes, almond slices for ears and licorice for the tail.
Place on a cookie sheet and loosely cover in foil. Refrigerate for two hours or until firm.
