Mud and Worms recipe
A classic childhood favorite, this quick and easy dessert will delight kids and adults alike! Chocolate pudding and sandwich cookie "dirt" are crawling with chewy gummy worm "bugs" for a delightfully horrifying dish that will have your youngest trick-or-treaters squealing with glee. Make the night before and chill overnight for a delicious halloween surprise.
Ingredients:
- 12 chocolate cream-filled sandwich cookies
- 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 c. milk
- 1 package gummy worms candy
- Plastic drinking glasses
Directions:
Place chocolate sandwich cookies in a resealable plastic zipper bag and crush into crumbs using a rolling pin.
In large bowl whisk together chocolate pudding mix and milk. Stir for 2 minutes.
Sprinkle 1/3 of the crumbs into the plastic glasses to create "dirt." Fill each glass with chocolate pudding, then top with the rest of the cookie crumbs. Poke gummy worms halfway into the dirt as desired.
